Inlet manifold, Lambretta TS1, with flange rubber, Mikuni 35mm TMX, Amal 28-34mm, Race-Tour MB

New style inlet manifold from MB Scooters.

Uses a MB flange type rubber to increase panel clearance and facilitate the use of different types of carburettors.

The manifold has a slight recess on the reed block surface for improved frame clearance.

Kit comprises:-

• Inlet manifold, MB
• Flange type rubber to suit Dellorto VHSA, Mikuni TMX 35 and Amal Mk2 carburettors, MB
• Carb spacer ring for use with Mikuni carburettors (must fit to stop carbs been pushed off or splitting the rubber, MB
• Jubilee clip
• Inlet gasket, MB
• All fasteneners

Advantages are;

• Lifts the carb giving greater panel clearance and aids fitting a air filter
• Lifting the carb gives greater cable clearance for gears/clutch
• Lifting the carb means better fuel pipe clearance
• Easier to get to air and idle screws

TIP - Seal the gaskets and rubber

Fit the Dowety washer under the allen screw head to prevent air leaks

ALWAYS use alloy carb spacer inside the carb rubber if using a Mikuni TMX MRB0854 if not the rubber will split. Mikuni carbs will need the overflow pipe tune cutting of the carb to clear the engine mounts

WARNING - these fit perfect with standard tanks but may not fit with aftermarket tanks.

TIP; Always fit a carb dry, if youre jetting in the bike and constantly removing the carb - wipe clean and dry the rubber and the carb. Always use wide jubilee clips! Tighten just so the carb doesnt move side to side by hand to prevent rubbers slitting. Always carry a spare and if you can bond some rubber onto the cowling to support the carb.
