Lambretta Drive side sprocket spring, MB

MBL0492

This spring is part of the front sprocket set-up and is used to grip the sprocket in place.

Genuine springs can go weak over time and the sprocket can slip.

Early Series 1 springs are shorter and do not work well in modern motors, it's always worth fitting a new spring on a rebuild or a chain/sprocket change.

Another part made for MB after we were so disappointed with supplies from other sources.

Dave B on 21 Oct 2019 asked "Hi Can you tell me what the length of this spring is please?? The one I have taken off my Li150S measures 35.6mm and a spare one I had from Allsytles measures 37mm. When I put the latter on and torque up, it hits on the side casing!! Cheers Dave"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: New they should be 37mm, old ones go coil bound so measure smaller. If its hitting the side casing there is a problem with the cap fitting correctly

John on 22 Mar 2019 asked "Hi, do you have a tool which compresses this spring to allow unscrewing sprocket bolt? Thanks"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: There isn't a tool and you don't need one, just unscrew the bolt
