Lambretta Clutch spider (4 plate) standard, SIL

MBL0081

This is a standard clutch spider which fits onto your gear cluster and transmits the power through your clutch.

The surfaces on the spiders do wear over time so if you have a juddery clutch when changing gearing then consider fitting a new spider.

Please note: most Indian spider are longer than the clutch sprocket so you may need some MB clutch adjustment shims.

Ian B on 18 Oct 2015 asked "My original Li spider has some loose rivets which I've managed to peen over. However, 2 of those rivets have no back on them - do you sell the rivets?"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Sorry we don't do spare rivets, but suggest you weld the spider to the splines

Mark on 10 Jun 2014 asked "My spider is 0.30mm higher using one of your crownwheels with bearings is this okay or a bit excessive ? "

MB Scooters Ltd replied: This may help MRB0683 or have the spider machined, its a common problem with Indian spiders, or swap to our spider MRB0757

William D on 03 Jan 2011 asked "I have a question about "Clutch standard 4 plate spider" would i use needle roller bearings or bronze bush with this item"

Jon on 31 Mar 2010 asked "I have a question about "Clutch standard 4 plate spider" Hi. the rivets are shot on my Sevetta spider. Whilst fitting another one the spider wont fully push on to the lay shaft splines, are these universal or do the clutch spider splines differ from model to model. Or as i fear its a Friday afternoon Indian one ... Many thank's Jon."

MB Scooters Ltd replied: All standard spiders should be interchangeable, but Indian ones do vary, we have to modify some before we sell them.
