When you build up the bgm crank the standard small end bearing 20 m/m width into the conrod the needle roller ends show each side of the conrod eye! is this to have needle rollers the full width of the small-end eye or for lubrication straight into the open end of the bearing? it just looks alittle strange

This is how Yamaha do them, used them for 30 years with no issues. Will be fine.

Hi, I'm buying up the parts to build an RT 195 engine. What benefit is there to using the 60/110 crank over the standard 58/107?

It should produce more power, but you have to set the port timings so its a bit more complicated. 58mm is a straight fit and it is easy to set up

No mods required the rod has been machined down

What is the purpose of the shims that come with the crankshaft?

In case the drive plate is high and crank rubs on the plate. Or just fit the MB drive plate and have done with it

Yes it should do on most casings, I've not come across one that needs altering but have been told some casings do need altering

Planning on doing a race tour kit with this crank. Could I substitute the two 3mm shims that come with this crank for two other sizes for a 200 case and if so how would I go about that? Thank you, Christian

Port timings will alter with the longer stroke crankshaft. Packers depend on where you want the port timings and depends on the height of the casing. Usually we use 1.5 - 3mm packers

Full circle 60mm stroke, now comes with bgm manufactured con-rod, and using a bgm big end bearing and big end shims.

The crank is fully balanced to reduce engine vibration with tungsten weights.

Comes supplied with Yamaha small end bearing 16x20x20 for standard width pistons.

Bgm cylinder packer plates are also supplied with the crankshaft, 3.00mm for small block engines, and 3.00mm for large block engines

Head gaskets also supplied for BGM 195 and 225 kits 1 for each kit at 1.50 mm
