Lambretta Clutch plate kit (5 plate) fits in standard clutch, Race-Tour, MB
Complete MB 5-plate clutch kit to suit standard Lambretta clutch assemblies.
Includes:
- 4 × 2.60 mm thin clutch plates (MB)
- 1 × 3.5 mm standard clutch plate (MB)
- 1 × 2 × 2 mm clutch steel plate (MB)
- 3 × 1.20 mm clutch steels (MB)
- 1 × 3 mm top plate (MB)
- MB clutch springs
Fits into a standard Lambretta clutch setup — crown wheel, pressure plate, and spider.
(Works best with a deepened crown wheel.)
Note: Some clutches may require the top plate tangs to be bent down to stay on the crown wheel. This depends on the crown wheel used.
Not all Lambretta 5-plate clutch kits work with standard clutch parts — this one does.
This is probably the best on the market as we think outside the box and design parts that fit and work. The key feature here is our extended 2 × 2 mm first clutch steel plate.
Other kits often use a 1 mm steel plate, which is weak, prone to distortion, wears away on the spider, and can spin behind the clutch spider, resulting in clutch failure.
Fitting Tips – Build Order (from wheel side):
- 3.5 mm friction plate
- 2 × 2 mm steel plate (raised edge towards the side casing)
- 2.6 mm friction plate
- 1.2 mm steel plate
- 2.6 mm friction plate
- 1.2 mm steel plate
- 2.6 mm friction plate
- 1.2 mm steel plate
- 2.6 mm friction plate (may require tangs to be bent down so they can’t spin over the crown wheel)
- 3 mm top plate
Do a dry rebuild and make sure everything moves freely. Always soak in oil overnight. Use MB gear oil for best results.
