Reed manifold ONLY 200cc, OVAL port cylinders, MB inc casting and machining
New from MB carrying on from our original 1980's reed block.
This new new cast alloy 4/6 petal inlet manifold was designed to fit all 200 inlet studded cylinders with oval exhaust ports.
It can be used with carb sizes from 18mm to 35mm.
Reed inlet manifolds can be fitted to improve fuel spit back and fuel economy, done correctly they they can improve and spread the power of the engine.
This is the price for
- Machined die cast reed manifold, Large Block, MB
- Reed gasket in Viton, MB
- Long Screw and washer, MB
you will also require a combination of these parts also.
- Reed block, various types see related products below
- Reed rubber, various types see related products below
We can modify these reed manifolds to suit 150 type inlet stud spacings and Mugello inlet ports (extra charge)
Additional work is required for the MB inlet manifold to be fitted, see tabs below.
If you are not sure which parts to use please phone the shop 01709 869756.

- Improves if not cures spit back
- Improves fuel economy
- Spreads torque
- Increases power
- Mark Broadhurst first developed one off reed valve manifolds for Lambretta cylinders in 1985
- For many years MRB have produced 4, 6 and 8 petal external reed manifolds
- In the 1990's cast Reed inlet manifolds lost favor over TS1 type cylinders, through over tuning and poorly designed piston ported cylinders the need has increased
Requires some additional work for the manifold to fit.
- Four fins above the inlet port needs removing and shaping for the manifold to fit
- Ideally 1 or 2 boost ports (transfer ports) above the inlet port needs cutting into the cylinder
- Ideally the inlet port needs opening, shaping and flowing to the inlet port
- Ideally the piston needs modifying to give 360 degrees inlet timing or a reed piston fitted
- Ideally the exhaust port needs lifting for a higher port timing duration
