Thread repair insert specially designed and made for MB Scooters.
- 10 x 1.5mm outside diameter
- 8 x 1.25mm inside diameter
- 21mm long
- Zinc plated
Can be used as a universal repair insert or especially works on
- Lambretta crankcase side exhaust mount 8mm holes
- Lambretta crankcase cylinder stud holes
Requires 10mm tapping tool MBU0920.

Basic repair is like this.
- Drill out to 8.5 - 8.7mm
- Tap threads to 10 x 1.5mm
- Use a 8mm screw with plain nut, screw the insert onto the screw, lock the nut gently
- Cover the threaded screw with a strong loctite and screw the insert in with the screw untill it locks, unwind the nut and remove the screw
- You can counter bore the casting so the top hat seats flush
