Mark, how good is stainless for this application. I\'ve just had a stainless link bolt (not yours) strip its thread when I\'ve applied the torque mentioned in Sticky\'s book. Have you ever exerienced anything like that before? Looks like I\'ll be buying replacements from you.

We've been selling our stainless steel bolts longer than anyone and in that time I have never known one strip. I'm not saying a nut can not pick up and will rip the threads and seize up, a little grease always helps this not happen. Plus I have never used a torque wrench on any fork bolt but then I've been using nuts and bolts for 35 years and I have a feeling for these things.
