hi there im intresdid in buying this rod do you have to do any mods to fit it .also do i have to have shims or not and friend of mine bought one and has not fitted the shims but done the piston instead hope you can advise me so i know what to order the parts

To do the conversion correctly, you need to machine both crank webs, use this rod with our racing big end bearing, use 2 x 1mm shims, rebuild and true the crankshaft.
