I've heard alot of bad press about some of the later batches of kickstart shafts which haven't been hardened properly and therefore they bend. Can you assure us that the shafts you are selling are not of this batch?

There are many manufacturers of GP kick start shafts around the world. Our shafts are Genuine SIL Gp shafts and to date we have sold hundreds with no come back.

I have a question about "Kickstart shaft GP Hi , What do you have to machine on the crankcase to fit this shaft to a 1966 SX 200 ??

Where the kickstart fits the flange needs machining by 0.5 -1.5mm using this tool MBP0124

I have fitted a GP side case to my Li crankcase complete with Li ramp. It appears that the kickstart shaft is touching the bolts that secure the ramp. Should this shaft be shimmed on the inside of the side case ? This would also allow closer engagement with first gear for starting.

Gp shaft need grinding at the back to clear the ramp bolt heads

The kickstart shaft states 65mm. Mine is the Sil 67.5. Do you have another part number for this please? Or will this work?

SIL can be longer, you just add washers on the outside.

Are all k/start shafts this Mark as I canâ€™t find the hot one # mbp0357 ?

Two typws this GP type short and strong and the Li long thin type that break - we only keep the GP type

This is a GP kick-start shaft and fits all later crankcase sides.

It can be fitted to Li, Sx, Tv engines as an upgrade because the GP ones are stronger but you need to machine the crankcase side to make sure this shaft sits in place properly.

The GP shaft has a length of 65mm.
