I would to replace my old piston ported 225 kit with one of your RT 225/230 kits . Currently running GP200 gear box 19/46 , 60/110 crank ,30mmPHBH carb and an Avanti clubman exhaust ....would this cylinder replacement work ok with what I already have? Also once order is placed what are the usual lead times before shipping ? Thanks Paul

Its a perfect kit to replace what you have and this gives you more improvements and works with everything you already have. Usually if we have stock, its dispatched the same day

Can this kit work with a 62mm crank and does ot take alot of setting up? Cheers

Yes it can, but needs setting up by a professional depending on if you kept it a piston ported version or a reed version and the head could do with altering

Can this kit be supplied for a 116 crankshaft, 30 crown height piston?

Yes using a Wossner piston and a crank with 115/116mm con rod

Hi Mark. I am looking to do an upgrade on my engine with the tuned reed valve rt225/ 230 kit. I currently have a gp 200 gearbox,60/110 crank, 46/19 gearing a jl3 pipe a Bhph 30 carb and one of your 5 plate clutch set ups. Will this work. And how long would it take for you to do your tunning programe for me to pick it up in shop. Thanks.

All sounds good to go. Usually takes around 2-4 weeks at this time of year to tune a kit

MB Reed Tuned Race-Tour package, the same as the popular piston port version but with all the added improvemnts of having a Reed valve tune and Reed assembly.

MBgm Race-Tour 225 cylinder kit using the new Reed cast coated MBgm 70mm piston. Touring reed valve tuned, with Reed assembly to suit a Dellorto PHBH 26, 28, 30mm carb.

The reed tune transforms a piston ported RT cylinder, lifting power across the rev range making a smoother more powerful engine. You need less revs to set off, tickover and jetting is improved as is fuel economy.

This is what is involved

Inlet manifold bolted to the cylinder and perfectly match, flowed and polish to the inlet port
Inlet port is matched, opened and flowed to work with the reed assembly
A boost port is cut above the inlet port
Exhaust ports are reworked to suit 58/60mm crankshafts
Transfers are altered as they go into the cylinder and flowed
Transfer feeds are flowed
Cylinder is light honed afterwards
Cylinder is ultra sonic cleaned
Piston to bore clearance is matched
