I have a standard GP200 crank and a piston with the small end width of 22.5 there is no shims either end of crank so will I be better using this 22.5 mm small end bearing instead of using shims on the piston

You can use a wide bearing, but then there is no shimming at the piston or crank. Long term the crank will let go
