Lambretta Headset (handlebar) ignition switch DC or AC, MB

MBP0153

Remade for MB these are top quality ignition switches marked with MBD on the key.

Works on all Battery and Non- Battery Models for Series 3 Headsets, will also work if you modify the headset holes on Series 1/2.

These have the extra key position (Far Left) for Parking Lights if used on DC models.

Tips

If you are fitting this switch to a scooter that was originally supplied with a kill switch you might need to grind inside your headset to allow the switch to sit properly.

Fitted well first time which makes a change these days and the lock is very positive when you turn it with the key.

Paul on 23 Nov 2017 asked "Will these definitely fit a Li s3 chrome ring headset? Purchased one this month but I can see it only fitting if you were to remove the steering clamp first."

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Depends on the headset casting, most fit, some need a bit removing from the casting, but should fit without moving the clamp

Nick H on 18 Jan 2015 asked "Hi, I realise far left is parking lights, next is off, can I please have an explanation of what the further 3 positions are each for. I am wiring them into a non battery, no indicators, electronic ignition Jet. Many thanks."

MB Scooters Ltd replied: Far left parking lights, engine wont run. Next vertical is everything off. Next is ignition on, brake light and horn only works. Next is ignition, brake light, horn and side lights. Last is everything including main lights.

Darran on 08 Mar 2013 asked "Hi I bought one of these a few months ago as part of a rebuild project. After being wired up, and checked a few times, the lights will only now work if I jiggle the key up and down the ignition. Any advice?"
