Lambretta Tool, Drive side bearing fitting and removing, MB
MRB0966
Theres plenty of ways to fit and remove a bearing, it's the same with a drive bearing.
On a good casing if warmed enough a bearing will knock out and again if warm enough a bearing will drop in or with a little help from a well designed drift like our MRB0866.
But after years of rebuilding engines and repairing casings - occasionally you need a bit more than heat and a drift as the drive stop area is very weak and can easily be broken - which is a difficult repair job to weld.
If a casing has been welded anywhere on the cylinder face, engine mount, swan neck or bump stop the drive bearing area can distort.
This bearing tool is the perfect answer to avoiding problems on any rebuild.
Fit one way and the tool easily pushes out the bearing.
Turn the sleeves around and the bearing can be safely pulled into the casing.
A must for anyone building engines.
Always use a bit of heat to help stuborn ones.
