This is the MB Race-Tour 'FIT ALL' Lambretta Ignition switch, the most advanced ignition switch ever made for Lambrettas.

It fits all Models and Series types, Series 1, 2, 3 and other versions.

Can be used as a normal AC switch
Can be used as a full DC switch
Can be used as a AC and DC switch
Can be used as a AC and trickle charge DC switch for toys
In the off position the Battery - if used is isolated, so no power at the headset
No machining required in non switch headsets

Has 4 switch positions (Does not use a parking light)

Position 0) Off
Position 1) On, brake light, horn (toys)
Position 2) On, brake light, horn (toys) side lights
Position 3) On, brake light, horn (toys) full lights

Comes with spacer washers to help fitment and setting up the bezel height.

Tips

When fitting this MB ignition switch on a Li headset the top will need the rib grinding away

Order placed and received 2 days later, fitting on my GP meant I hade to remove steering boss to allow access for switch to fit, wires and connectors are better quality than my previous switch, 3 positions instead of 4 (first position wasn't used) feels very positive in operation overall a much much better quality ignition switch that comes with 3 keys.

Fitted to my 6V Li125 S3 as I wanted a bit more security rather than the push stop button. Great quality item and pretty easy to fit.

Quality item supplied with 3 keys & easily fitted without having to modify anything. Operation of key very precise. A perfect addition to replace original cut out button or worn out switch at a reasonable price.

Neil D on 20 Feb 2024 asked "Hi. Finally got round to fitting the switch I received a while ago. Looks and feels excellent quality. Do you have any advice on fitting it to a Series one? Not a lot of room in headset. Looking like I will have to completely strip headset of cables, pulleys etc. and get out the Dremel"

MB Scooters Ltd replied: It should fit in a Series 1, it will be tight as everything is tight in a Series 1 headset. You may have to remove the sleeving and reposition some wires and heat shrink cover to suit

Jez on 01 Feb 2024 asked "I want to swap a cut out switch for a keyed ignition switch on my Li125 1963, I'm having trouble with an ignition unit from Scotopia which has an overall dia. of 45mm, this is to big for the bottom of the headset is yours smaller"
