This speedo sensor is simply placed along the steering column in place of the original speedometer drive and receives its signal from the speedometer drive gear, located in the front axle. The waterproof cable is connected to the sensor. It has to be pulled through the steering column and attached to the speedometer.

The advantages of the new system include a more accurate measurement of your actual speed and a firm goodbye to constantly snapping speedometer drive cables!
