Fed up with inferior remade Indian SIL gear shims, MRB have remade these shims in the UK from hardened shim steel, cut to fit perfect on all Series 1, 2 and 3 engines tuned or standard.

Ash on 10 Nov 2010 asked "I have a question about "Gear shim 1.9mm, MRB" hi, bought all the shims you have in a kit a while ago and fitting a new engine out but can not get the box to shim up with 1.79 shim, do you do any smaller as i could do with buying some. New rear hub Casa bearing, innocenti layshaft, innocenti endplate, SiL new casing.. no joy cheers ash"

MB Group, Serious Outdoors Ltd replied: We don't do a thinner shim and there is something seriously wrong if you do. It's probably either the casing, bearing or layshaft. The easy way would be to machine the layshaft 0.5mm which we do in house.
