Electronic flywheel, modified, strengthened and shortened fins, Gp


The Indian flywheel has many faults!

After modifying lots of different flywheels we find this is the strongest safest method of using the Indian flywheel.

We take an Indian GP electronic flywheel and turn the fins down in a lathe to make sure they fit under a standard short type flywheel cowling.

We weld round the boss and weld the cam to the flywheel to strengthen what can be a weak point.

Its always an advantage to use a fine smear of Loctite on the inside of the cam when finally bolting the flywheel on.

Never trust the timing marks, always manually set your own timing marks and strobe up when fitting.

TIP! When ever you replace an electrical ignition part always strobe and check timing is correct
