Iron liner to repair old cylinder bore


Iron liners in alloy cylinders are nothing new.

Some cylinders are like this as standard form many manufacturers.

It is a well proven design.

Most modern cylinders are now plated.

There are advantages of both style of cylinder bores.

Iron liners main benefit is they are reborable, much cheaper than a replate.

This is the price for us to have a bespoke iron liner made to suit your cylinder.

Commonly done to TS1, RB, Mugello, Imola and Mugello cylinders, but within reason we can line any cylinder to restore it.

Ash on 16 Mar 2011 asked "I have a question about "Iron liner to repair old cylinder bore" Hi, its looking like i may need a liner fitted in my RB25, what the turn around these days on the liner fitting. I have one of your pistons already. There seems to be 50 thou warpage after welding up the exhaust boost ports! cheers Ash"

MB Group, Serious Outdoors Ltd replied: My man is not quick with these jobs the fast turnaround would be 4 weeks but you are in the busy season so could be much longer.
