on 21 Feb 2009 asked "Im looking to have my Indian Lambretta crank converted to a Jap rod to use with a TS1 225 kit.How much would you charge to supply and fit a suitable rod kit,thanks.....Kev"
MB Group, Serious Outdoors Ltd replied: This conversion is so old hat, It beats me why people are still doing it.
I invented this conversion in the 1980's.
I've not done one for over 5 years as we found loads of Indian cranks would crack through the webs as the forging has a flaw in it.
I moved onto putting all my development ideas into my Race-Tour cranks and have never looked back.
Yes they cost, they are made in the UK to the highest of standards and you pay for what you get.
If money is a consideration look at the MEC Black crank that we sell, they are much better than the Indian webs and not much in it compared to someone doing a crank conversion.
Weve had loads of dealers using the Indian webs for the same thing, they all moved onto the Black crank.
Karl K on 24 Jun 2008 asked "What size crank pin does it have....22mm or 22.9mm?"
MB Group, Serious Outdoors Ltd replied: All the latest Indian cranks use 22mm pins
