I purchased these tires based on the reviews here on this site and others. I was looking for something that would give me better traction on unpaved roads. This tire works very well for the times I did go on a dirt road. The unfortunate part is though that I have had little chance to really try it on a dirt road because the tire is almost worn out on the back of my scooter after only 3000 km riding on paved roads. The 2 front tires are still good and I think they will last the season, I think? So, that being said I would not recommend this tire as a rear tire on any maxi scooter, they wear out way too fast. I would recommend it as a front tire though. It performs well for those time you will hit the dirt roads and it looks like it will last long enough for the money invested. I ride a Piaggio MP3 400 2008. Marks reply: Thanks for your comments, and I take it on board. The Weatherman is a wet weather tyre, its not made for high mileage or off roading etc. Used as a wet weather tyre it would stay cooler and not wear as much. Our tyres are made to grip and not last forever, I always ask, 'do you want a tyre that lasts forever then one day it might go from under you and smash up your scooter' 'whats cheaper replace a good tyre regularly or fall off and have your bike rebuilt'
