1 DARREN M on 24 Sep 2008 asked "I am currently running an AF ally 175 kit with a 28/30 carb and expansion. It looks like there is a lot of wall thickness on the iron liner and I am certain that I could get more from this kit. So would it be possible to re work my head and barrel to fit the 190 piston, and if so do you have a ballpark figure. Or would I just be better off switching to a 190 kit and be done. Thanks in advance Darren"

Mark replied: We have our Lambretta Race-Tour pistons at 64mm which will do as you ask with this kit. The AF or SR barrel as it should be known can be bored out from a 175 (62mm) to 190 (64mm) The Yamaha piston that you are asking about is the wrong piston for the job.
