This is an extension, upgrade and modification to our old MB Developments web site that Ian Hepworth volunteered to do for Mark as a hobby many years ago and from it Ian became MB's General Manager. Working together we developed our web sites and taking the business forward and the old Technical information got forgot about, it's still there as a history but is not kept up to date.

With the introduction of our orginal Facebook (not active) we tried to build a technical web site update with lots of photos of our engineering but this proved hard work as we could not control what Facebook did. We still use Facebook but more of a chat and advert kind of thing so it's worth signing up to. As we've moved on and Facebook has improved and now most people are on it we only post on our shop on our MB Scooters Facebook site. 

MB's Tech site is written with over 40+ years experience by Mark Broadhurst, Managing Director for MB Scooters Ltd (ex MB Developments) and now with our new walk in shop, restructure and move of our business in 2011/12 we are now called MB Scooters Ltd. Here you can find lots of information on all things Technical to do with Lambrettas and if you want you can keep up Marks Adventures on his Facebook site 

Ok I can not spell and I don't know what grammar means but I do try to make these articles easy to read from the idiots point of view, pointless using big long winded words and confusing sentences if I don't even know what it means! I've tried to group information in a common sense order, sometimes this is not easy, sometimes you may think an article fits into 'Fitting Instructions' but could fit into 'Setting up instructions' both are different. It just needs a little thought. If in doubt have a flick around, there's thousands of hours of writing and hundreds of photos. It's all there, you just need to find it in any of these sections.

• CYLINDER TUNING

Tells you all about cylinder tuning from Mark's beginnings taking you through all the stages and how and why we do what we do.

• CYLINDER KITS

Here you can read all about the different kits on the market from all suppliers for Small and Large block cylinders. It gives history of the kits, whats good and bad with them and what we can offer to repair or improve them.

• ENGINEERING WORK

Mark is considered a bit of an engineer, he's actually a PSV fitter by trade, but wanted more from life so have become self taught in many aspects of engineering stemming from been a mechanic interested in tuning 2-strokes. Here you will see machining, welding, repairs and developments that Mark get up to.

• NEW PRODUCTS

We have alway made Lambretta products, it just grows and grows, todate we make over 1000 items to Marks designs. This is not really the place to show new products we are constantly on it on our faebook pages.

• TECH ARTICLES

Life's easier for us to write Technical articles, it saves us been constantly on the phone or email telling people the same old thing. For everything we sell there should be an article if required. Here you will see links to all our fitting instructions and technical articles. This is our legal way of saying follow our intructions or theres no comeback if you fit or break something - these articles are way more informative than the spanners manual that we helped to write.

Every part of an engine or Scooter can be broken down into sections and explained individually. Throw them altogether and its complicated, read all about each section item by item to fully understand an engine and how each part works.

• MB TUNING WORK

Mark has tuned probably more engines than anyone else. If you don't believe that then we can produce engine and tuning information of every cylinder tuned. Today it's 2000+ cylinders and engines tuned. Plus on top of that are hundreds of factory style cylinder kits and casings tuned. Here you can see how it's done from the professionals.
