MRB were involved in the design of these Indian made cylinders. The original concept was to make a comparatively cheap cylinder kit for all the "small block" casings around. Due to poor manufacturing we couldn't use the cylinder heads and the pistons had a lot of potential . So adding a better piston and reworking the cylinder head pushed up the price of the kit. The cylinder is still the basis of an excellent reliable kit. The cylinder has alloy fins cast round a steel liner. These gives you the advantages of better cooling plus the bore can be rebored several times. The kit offers excellent tuning options which are listed in the subsections.

1. SR 175 1 Part
The SR 175 is a reasonably priced kit and is easy to fit. Out of the box it is roughly a stage 3. We can offer the kit in stage 3 through to 5 tunes. The stage 3 can be fitted to a standard 107mm crankshaft but if you are thinking of going any higher with the tuning then we recommend fitting a GP200 race crank for reliability.

2. SR 190 2 Parts
The SR190 is an excellent kit in terms of durability and speed but it is let down by it's cost. The original piston (not used) was designed to be able to fit straight on to a 107mm con rod but we are having to use the proven TS185 pistons. These pistons have a shorter crown height than a Lambretta so you either have to shorten the barrel or put a longer con-rod in the crank.Unfortunately, due the mild tune on the ports during manufacturing, we cannot offer the shortened version so you have to budget for a crank with a 115mm Yamaha con-rod OR to have a 115mm Yamaha con-rod in your crank.
